Our kids love the pumpkin patch! Every year our youngest residents visit our local pumpkin patch to experience the wonderful colors, smells and flavors of fall. Trip activities include touching pumpkins and straw, feeding goats and ponies, and enjoying special fall treats. It's quite the sensory experience.
On October 5 we had Chick-Fil-A Day. The restaurant provided a lunch/dinner of chicken strips or chicken wraps, fruit, salad and cookies for every member of our staff at Walter Lawson's. We are grateful to Chick-Fil-A and Ms. Golgowski for their kindness and support!
Walter Lawson Children's Home was recently awarded grant funds from the William S. Howard Charitable Trust.
Mr. Didier constructed the therapy tables for our school and recreational areas. Each one has been constructed with a heart carved in the legs in memory of his grandson.
