Halloween Activities at Walter Lawson Children's Home

« Return to News

Halloween is a multi-day event at Walter Lawson Children's Home. Our fun begins Thursday afternoon with a yummy bake sale, hosted by Day Training. Thursday night is when we got the party started! Both Thursday and Friday evenings, our activity department hosted volunteers from the community who came to play games with our kids and make festive treats.

Friday, Oct. 31 our school held a costume party and parade. Our pre-k through high school students dressed in their most imaginative costumes. Our youngest students showcased their costumes during the parade around the building while our older students attend Day Training's Haunted House. We ended the party on Friday with treats and a festive round of pumpkin bowling.

Our fun carried on through Sunday when we had our Family Fun Day. This is our fall themed family event. Our residents and their families enjoyed a magic show, along with treats and a few rounds of Halloween Bingo and Spider-Web. By Sunday night all 98 residents enjoyed the festivities and the spirit of Halloween!
